As Smart Cities Solution Lead with global engineering company, Black & Veatch, Jennifer helps cities and communities leverage technology to become more sustainable, resilient and successful. She previously led market development efforts for the Smart Integrated Infrastructure business within Black & Veatch, a growth business designed to identify and promote new value opportunities stemming from more intelligent and interconnected infrastructure systems.

or to Black & Veatch, Jennifer spent 10 years as the Vice President of Marketing for Boston-based energy optimization software start-up, NeuCo, Inc., now owned by GE. She previously worked with marketing and communications agencies in the United States and Canada, consulting with technology companies to help them build brands, launch new products and reposition to enter into new markets.

Jennifer is also a member of Status Novi, a group that uses Systems Thinking to effect positive social change. She was previously a Harvard University—City of Somerville MA Systems Thinking Fellow, working with city leaders and community groups to apply this holistic way of thinking to address complex problems such as opioid abuse and overdose.

Jennifer holds a Master’s degree in Environmental and Sustainability Management from the Harvard University Extension School and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Memorial University of Newfoundland, Canada.
