Joseph’s career in the ‘green’ economy began as a national sales joe-haynes-headshotmanager for a publicly traded clean-tech company that focused on recycling organic waste to fertilizer. This initial foray into the “green” economy was enough to convince him that he would pursue sustainable opportunities in one way, shape, or form, for the rest of his career. Joseph and other industry partners started Afriganics LLC, which designed and marketed organic fertilizer products to West African growers. During that time he also worked closely with solar power companies to collaborate on creating an inexpensive, highly resilient, and efficient solar powered water pump to irrigate fields in developing countries. This endeavor led Joseph to again strike out on his own to market a similar solar solution, this time designed for off-grid telecom towers that were seeing tremendous growth in developing countries at that time.

In 2011 Joseph was excited to come home to Boston to begin building a consultancy that enabled him to continue pursuing and supporting sustainable development. He handles all business development for H&A as well as managing the firm’s energy portfolio, which consists of renewables, waste to energy, and comprehensive energy reducing retro-fits of municipalities energy infrastructure.
