itselectric

Itselectric, the AcceliCITY 2023 Resilience Challenge winner, is reshaping urban electric vehicle (EV) charging with its innovative curbside stations. Targeted for busy city areas, the charging stations draw power from nearby buildings, allowing for seamless integration in cityscapes. Itselectric's business model includes revenue-sharing, allowing property owners to earn from hosting the charging stations. This approach not only increases the number of charging stations but also provides a financial incentive for property owners, creating a widespread network of EV charging stations in cities and municipalities worldwide.

The pilot project targets key urban areas to improve EV charging availability, enhancing the practicality and attractiveness of EV usage in cities. Itselectric is now inviting municipalities and urban communities globally to apply for no-cost pilot installations, promising to tailor each setup to the specific needs of the area. This initiative marks a pivotal step in transforming urban transportation infrastructure, making EV charging as common and accessible as traditional fueling methods.

Why itselectric?

Urban Space Optimization

Itselectric's compact, curbside charging stations require less space than traditional chargers, making them ideal for densely populated areas where space is costly. This means cities can increase EV charging infrastructure without sacrificing valuable urban space or disrupting existing city layouts.

Alignment with Green Initiatives

Many cities have commitments to reduce carbon emissions and promote sustainable transportation. Itselectric's EV charging solution directly supports these goals by making electric vehicle use more practical and appealing, thereby encouraging a shift away from fossil fuel-dependent vehicles.

Equitable Access to Charging

Itselectric's model, by tapping into existing building power sources, can be deployed in diverse neighborhoods, including those traditionally underserved by EV infrastructure. This helps cities address the issue of charging station deserts and ensures equitable access to EV charging facilities across different socio-economic areas.
