Later this year, the QBE AcceliCITY Humanitarian Challenge will invite entrepreneurs, changemakers and innovators worldwide to submit bold software solutions that empower communities to become stronger, safer and more sustainable in the face of humanitarian crises.


Selected applicants will enter the QBE AcceliCITY program, unlocking expert mentorship, certified business training and direct connections to global leaders eager to collaborate on breakthrough solutions for community resilience.


Through the Humanitech Innovation Curriculum, chosen innovators will work alongside humanitarian experts, peers and communities on the frontlines to inform and refine their solutions to better meet community needs, supporting relevance and scale.


Finalists will have the unique opportunity to co-design their solutions directly with communities that are actively building resilience, ensuring their innovations are effective and sustainable. This hands-on collaboration ensures that your solution addresses real-world challenges and accelerates its path to wide-scale impact.Winners will receive funding to pilot their solutions within Red Cross Red Crescent programs, delivering real change where it’s needed most.


The 2024 QBE AcceliCITY humanitarian winner WEO is now piloting its groundbreaking solution with Australian Red Cross and a regional community in Australia which has faced repeated flood and fire events. WEO’s platform creates hyper-local risk profiles using satellite data, AI and community insights, driving impactful change where it’s needed most
